Hello folks. I am not very cyber able , so please excuse me if I have trouble communicating here. I own a'93 caprice estate, (my fourth) that was just 'Done in' according to my insurance co. I need some info about the interchangability of Caprice and Roadmaster body parts.i.e. fenders, doors, rear quarterpanel, and bumpers. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome, Donmac. Sorry to hear of your misfortune with the wagon. Not sure on some of the pieces, but a lot of the sheetmetal interchanges on those B-body wagons. I believe the fenders, front doors, and quarter panels are all the same among. There could be some difference in the rear doors from what I remember between the Caprice and RMW. Some trim differences, obviously.

As for pics, I believe there's n instruction thread hee somewhere.....
    (does some digging....)

Thank you, to all the Wagoneers out there. The warm welcome is very appreciated. More questions will follow about repairs to my Caprice. Thanks to everyone.

welcome to the forum, having owned up to 6 91-96 body wagons at one time I can safely say that all wagon sheep metal will interchange. the roof is the only panel that is different between a caprice and a roadmaster. The rear bumpers are the same. the front bumpers grills and trim are different.

if you have any issues finding parts just ask if I can't help you I can certainly put you in contact with someone who can

I don't know this so I'm just asking....doesn't the lower chrome strip trim on the Roady attach with clips that require holes in the body? If so, using a Roady door on a Cappy would require filling those holes. Like I say, I don't know if those the strips HAVE holes under them. Do they?

yes the roadmaster wagon doors do have holes and pins that would have to be removed/filled if they are to be used on a caprice, but if you have to paint em anyways it's a mute point.

that said 95-96 roadmaster sedan's belt line trim is bonded to the doors with double sided tape and there are no holes or pins. but only the front doors from a roadmaster sedan could be used on a caprice.
