    Hey there!

The name's Lachlan, I'm an Aussie and I am the prowd owner of a 2001 Mitsubishi Legnum VR-4. I imported it into the country myself this year and thought I would jump on and say hi, well hi! :p

Here are a few happy snaps of my ride. (I don't take too many myself so they're not just limited to my car)

Welcome Lachlan! Nice looking wagon :thumbs2:. Judging by the lines of the body, the US sedan version of your wagon probably was the Galant.

Thanks for the kind words guys, gotta' love hearing that your car looks brand new!

As far as specs goes it's powered by a 2.5L V6 Twin Turbo rated at 206kw factory (as all Japanese performance cars of the era were), it has AWD, Active Yaw Control (from the Mitsubishi Evo) and a 5 speed manual transmission. From vague memory kerb weight is about 1,550kg or thereabouts.

Haven't done too much to it as of yet, has a mild steel cat-back exhaust (done in Japan), coilovers and aftermarket wheels which I did myself. However I have a room full of parts to go on it this coming week aswell as a custom 3" stainless steel exhaust with high flow cat. She's far from done yet!

And well spotted 90merc, this is the wagon variant of the 8th Generation Mistubishi Galant. The Galant VR-4 had similar specs but in a 4 door sedan. I believe the Galants were sold locally in the US however the Legnums were not.

Lachlan, that is one sharp looking wagon. Welcome aboard. Beautiful shape for a 9 yr old car, for sure.

    Welcome...
We haven't got the VR-4 version of the Galant over here since '98 or thereabouts.....and never a wagon. Had a '86 Galant myself at one time....

Yeah, not sure of exactly what the US history is with the Galant VR-4, I assume you guys got the 6th Gen VR-4 (with 2.0L turbo 4G63 engine of Mitsi Evo fame), and possibly the 7th gen? You would have sold the 8th Gen Galant (or a version of it) but they only cam naturally aspirated I believe.

No chrome for me thanks Rev, trying to keep this one pretty Jap ;) although my inside door handles are chrome! :p

She should be in tip-top shape in just over a week :)
