Fleetwood wagon

    I know I've seen a picture of it here somewhere, but I can't find it. Did'nt someone post a pic of a mid to late 80's Caprice wagon with a Cad/Fleetwood clip on it? And does anybody know if its a bolt on deal?

    Here's some pics of what I think you're talking about.. (I just did a Google image search).
    It's not as simple as exchanging the front clip. For these, the conversion company started with a Fleetwood Brougham and cut out the upper and lower rear body panels, and fit a complete rear wagon section with partial floor pan.

    I saw one of these, a few years ago, in San Rafael, CA, at a small used car lot.

    Was that a skin graft from a panther wagon? I am afraid they did a poor job of unifying the lines of the two cars. Not for me.

    Those are real Fleetwood wagons. Nifty, though not what I was looking for. I thought I remember seeing a Caprice with a Fleetwood front clip.

    There have been a few of those around as well, but the CBOP quarters just don't have the same presence as the Cadillac, and the wheel base is 4 or 5 inches shorter as well.
