    I know I've talked about putting a Cutlass Calais front clip on the Crewzer, I know where parts are hiding now and I just bout a complete POS Calais for $100. I'm sure I've talked some where on the forum about this exact car, I went to look at it 2-3 weeks ago and over all it was/is a POS with some damage to the front Bumper and Stainless fender trim. Last nite I offerd $100 and the seller took it. He wanted $500 when I looked origonally....he wanted over $1200 when the ad started:rofl:

    While hunting wreakers with no luck for a complete nose I did find all the little things this car did'nt have for under $100. I also fond a wagon like mine that I will buy the front fenders because I can see that I will have to graft both cars fender together in order to work on the wagon. Buying the fenders also lets me keep the Crewzer on the road untill I'm ready for final fit etc.

    This project won't start till late summer/early fall but now I have the bare bones to work with and an exrta full set of wheels with caps and trim rings. I'm going to borow a trailer this week end and stuff it into my barn for the summer, by then I'll have enouph projects done and we are only aloud one un-insured car/truck on the property as per by laws.

    This thread will come back around the fall, THIS IS GONA HAPPEN!:dance:

    Here's a link with a great view off how the front end looks.

    Cool, Fat. I wondered what was up with that rig you went to look at. Didn't want to push you on it. That's gonna be a fun and rewarding project.

    I've always thought that 2-door Cutlass front end was nicely styled, and wish they could have put it on the 4-door and wagon. Now someone finally will!

    Looks like a great project you've got lined up. The prices for parts seem quite good in your part of the world?
    The last time we rebuilt a car down here we found that it was cheaper going with all the Chevy running gear rather than our own GM-H products- can't work it out? (But it was a long time ago:D)

    Cool can't wait to see it. I always liked the Cutlass grill that wrapped up over the top too.

    A mere email away. :) He just wants a ballbark of how deep the gouge will be.

    There's only one Fairmont Tailgate available here, and I can get it for $50. Another yard 500 miles away wants $275.

    This one covers the year range as 1981 to 1987:

    Fenders had been there for years.......

    Thanx for the links Norm:D(y), I'll dig a bit mote through them..I'll be looking for sedan fenders.

    I just got back from the wreaker close to me (I was going to buy the front fenders), They "had" a almost complete 80 Cutlass wagon that had been there for years basicly untouched! Last week end it was a complete car, this is what I found today...............
    :confused::49::rant2::slap::hmmm::biglaugh::rofl2:.......

    Fenders and the roof gone,WTF??!!:(
