Well after I tried to replace the head gaskets on the 389 in the wagon, it seems that it is still overheating. Just less now, that the passenger side is sealed up nicely. The drivers side had too many low spots and is not sealing up. This would need a mill on the heads and the deck. Money that I do not want to spend on the motor/trans in the car.

I am pulling the old Slim Jim Trans and motor for a newer 350 Pontiac and TH350 trans.

Any advice for the 62 Catalina wagon? Motor mounts etc??

    Thanks
    Dave
