Well, if I had 1.5 MILLION shimoleans to spend, it sure wouldn't go to buy THAT. I only need about $100k to buy my dream wagon. Hey, I've got money left over to buy all YOUR dream wagons.....and long as it isn't this one.

Maybe the seller found some of Elvis' old drugs in between the seats and helped himself before deciding on a price for the car:bouncy:

I've been away. Is it too late to bid on the wagon?

Wonder if they would consider a $1.2 million offer? :coco:

That's going to be for sale for a while.

OK, this begs the question, "What would you pay for Elvis' station wagon?"

Let's assume it's in great condition, and its market value as a Cadillac wagon without the Elvis connection is around $20,000. (might be less, I dunno)

Assuming you had the money, what would you pay for it?

If memory serves, Elvis's wagon has been for sale time and time again since I've been a member.

What would I pay, "Maybe" 20K because of the Elvis connection. But if I had 20k to spend I'd be spending it elsewhere..........

Thing is and it's just my 2-bits of nothing, Yes it's Elvis's wagon, sure I like a lot of his music but myself I just can't OMG because a celebrity owned it. Along with that, years have passed and the Elvis crowd like other fans of actors/musicians is dwindling down due to age and no offence but more and more are 6 feet under as every year goes by and for the most part the younger generation just don't have a interest unless it's a movie car etc from there generation. A lot of $ to ask for any car when the interested market gets smaller and smaller everyday

    Very well put, Tedy.....

*IF* he were still alive he would be in his 80's....
He died in 1977... So just about anyone born 1980
    and after can not relate....
Very much a diminishing market on this one....

I think I would pay $10K-20K as well, (given I had that kind of extra $), but I'd like to see it go to a museum somewhere. :2_thumbs_up_-_anima

I would think that the fair market on this car would be $50-60k, seems like other Elvis cars have sold in that range in recent years. Most kids today "know" of Elvis because of the iconic imagery, like Marilyn Monroe, but they think of him as a character not as a real person. People have said that dying was the best thing he ever did for his career as he was rapidly becoming a has-been in 1977.

That's a good question. Many vehicles are sold at rediculous prices just because they belonged to a famous person. As for me I wouldn't really want such a large wagon so would offer very little.
Be interesting to see what others may offer without Elvis involved. I'll bid $5000.00
