You know if you like that texas blues strat stuff you'd proably like Stevie's big brother, Jimmy Vaughn. Check out some of the old Fabulous Thunderbirds, not the stuff you heard on the radio:

KZOK gets played on my radios, with KISM as alternative. They're the only two Classic Rock stations left in the Seattle area. After my visit to Mason City/Clear Lake, Iowa on the 50th Anniversary of the Holly/Valens/Bopper final show and plane crash, my ambivalence in musical tastes kinda went out the window.

If anyone ever considers going there for the pilgrimage, I highly recommend it. The visit does something to you, you come back feeling different...not in a bad way. It was very worth the detour while driving from Seattle to Washington DC.

Trivia: I clocked the miles from my doorstep to downtown DC for the tour...it's exactly 3,000 miles. Of course, that included going north from Des Moines, IA to Mason City, then over to Waterloo and down through Cedar Falls and back on I-80 to Davenport.

Dick Dale is one of my all-time favorite guitar players.
Most people don't realize that not only does he play left handed, he plays a right handed guitar flipped over and does not re-string it like Jimi Hendrix did. He plays with the low notes at the bottom.
(I have seen pictures of him with proper left handed guitars, but they are still strung right-handed.)

Hard to tell where that 3000 miles comes from since you are documented as "from a distant galaxie.." So...the 3000 miles is between DC and.....?
