Survivor!! All original (except one repaint). All stock, no modifications, 98K orig. mi. Painted original color, Sunburst Yellow. Wagon has rare vinyl top option in dark brown, striking combination with the original wood grain vinyl. This Buick was loaded/optioned out back in the day. Runs really good, transmission shifts are seamless. Floats down the highway and with the (original) 455 power plant/4bbl carb gets a surprisingly 15/16 HWY MPG. I know, I drove it across the country coast to coast, what a blast it was. Here is a list of the options this car was equipped with:
-455 cu. in. 4bbl carb engine, (as mentioned, runs really smooth)
-3 spd turbo hydra-matic 400 trans, (shifts smooth, no issues)
    -Chrome roof mounted luggage rack
-pwr windows, (all glass in excellent condition, Wagon has tinted windshield)
-pwr door locks, (all in good working order)
-pwr front bench seat in good working order, finished in Elk-grain vinyl, Saddle in color. All three rows of passenger seating (8 passenger) in excellent condition, no rips, tears or fading.
-rare 3rd row passenger seating w/ seat belts
-Beautiful Buick 5 spoke rally styled steel wheels w/ center caps. Chrome & painted inserts in excellent condition. These wheels really give the wagon a sporty look, much better looking than the hubcaps that were standard.
-front (dash mounted button) and rear key control for the power "glide away" tailgate (dubbed "clamshell tailgate") and power rear tailgate window (in good working order).
    -self adjusting front disc brakes
-remote adjustable drivers door rear view mirror & rare option passenger rear view door mirror.
-AM/8 Track Sonomatic stereo eight, 8 track works!!! Radio antenna in windshield.
-analog in dash clock that works and keeps good time with regular winding
-RARE dial temp climate control A/C
-tilt sport three spoke steering wheel
-cruise control, (in good working order)
-original Buick crest rubber floor mats
-original carpet in excellent condition, no stains, tears.
-headliner is perfect, dual courtesy lamps work and have no discoloring
-map reading lamp between front windshield sun visors, in working order.
-dash is perfect! No cracks, peeling, fading, absolutely beautiful!!
-frame mounted class IV trailer hitch with trailer wiring connection.

Recently updated: new dual exhaust system with glass packs, a non obtrusive system but has a nice V8 sound as gliding down the highway. Rebuilt 4bbl carb. New water pump. Temperature gauge installed to keep an eye on the cooling system here in Arizona.

Car is always garaged and a car cover used in the garage. Wagon has very good tread on white wall tires +/- 80% tread left. Wood grain vinyl on sides has some minor dings & scratches, included with the sale of this classic wagon is a new roll of replacement wood grain vinyl, enough to replace both sides and the vinyl on tail gate, my cost $475. Overall condition is extremely good to excellent for the car's age. Please, serious buyers only. No dealers/brokers please, I/we know how to sell our own vehicle. No tire kickers as well, heard all the stories about when Mom & Dad had a wagon like this back in the day. If serious I have many many more pictures I can share. Call seven six zero-66two-143nine 0r 66two-140four.

Have to say, if I did not have my heart set on a Chevy and a 73 at that then...

I must confess, it is right up there price wise, but I would be willing to pay a premium for exactly what I am looking for though.

Yeah I could, where are the cornering lights, bumper guards and light monitors? J/K LOL!! :rofl2:

I agree, it is a super, SUPER high optioned car... those appear to be the only options it lacks and it is a beauty!! It is very interesting however that this car appears to have the base model seats and door panels, yet it has the deluxe 3-spoke steering wheel. I thought that that steering wheel came with the Custom interior option (as seen in the ad below on the left side pic), but apparently that wheel was a completely separate individual option because I remember another members '72 Estate Wagon on here (the green one converted to a 2-door) and it had the upgraded door panels, but had the standard 2-spoke steering wheel.

Everytime I see a '72 Buick, it reminds me of my old '72 Buick Electra 225 Custom sedan... I loved that car! It was an awesome car! Photo taken in 2002... wow our drive-way has changed alot since then. LOL!

Anyway, I sold it to some guy in Rock Hill, South Carolina in 2002.

Beautiful car, if the underside is rustfree then worth the money.

I have seen a few GMs around Az with different options....One reason is the GM Desert Proving Grounds...Employees could pick up cars that were used out there for different reasons and Execs could order news cars to drive (I think 3 months) then they would be sold off to employees...

There is the '68 400 Firebird used as the magazine "mule car" used so the press could drive it parked in a carport here in Mesa.....I have talked to the owner and he was an employee out at GM and was sent out to LA to pick it up after the display....He drove it back here and bought it...Red/Red 400 4 speed....

I also hear a lot of "3 deuce" setups went out the back door out here to help Pontiac get the reputation of high performance in '65 and '66....

Then there is the legend of "The Pit"....Test cars would be dumped into a pit and burned...manager said he wanted a whole line of Corvettes gone by Monday so the weekend crew dug a long trench, drove the Vettes into it, covered them with tarps and buried them....I was told by an old retired employee that there was at least one of every year from '53 to mid 60's...

The Proving Grounds closed about 5 or 6 years ago and GM moved to the Yuma Test Center (USMC) so there wouldn't be any spying on them (Williams Gateway Airport is next to the old one down here)...Someone is going to get a surprise when they start digging utilities on the old property...

seller says he just had A/C fixed, cold now, and an oil leak is taken care of. Says it has some rust on rear fenders, by replies seems honest. If I get pics I'll post
