No one was hurt.... I don't have anything to say about this I wouldn't regret later, but I thought I'd post some pictures.

Brandon, I am so sorry. This could make a grown man cry, or get hospitalized. I thought it was an "April fools"-type joke, wish it were! Doesn't even matter how it happened. We'll stay tuned for the re-build. Owen

Oh man I feel for you after all the work put into it, it was even my favorite colour. But to ad to what has been mentioned, cars can be repaired and or replaced, people can't.

Fortunately, if there is a such a thing, the car was hit in the front and not the rear. All of the parts that it looks like would be needed (right front fender, hood, front fascia, right side grille) can probably come from any full-size '71 Pontiac. It need not be a station wagon.

It looks like the front bumper was just twisted a bit. I don't see any creases. I'm guessing it can be straightened.

Can't tell what underhood damage might have been done, but I'm going to guess little, if any.

As awful as it looks, the car certainly is not totaled.

Man no words can cover this one. I KNOW the feeling of seeing that on something you have SO MUCH work in FIRST HAND! And it isn't good!

But ya know what? everybody's ok and that's the important thing.

Sorry man. I am glad you can fix yours at least.

Wow, That is terrible! And this after the close call a while back. I am really sorry buddy. It's one thing to have an accident involving your car, but the fact that you put so much work into it must add to the sting. I can only imagine how terrible your wife must feel. I hope everyone is OK.
Take deep breaths. It can be repaired.

I'm glad everyone is alright. Good luck on the rebuild. If the frame is alright you should be back up and running 1-2-3, hopefully!

Ouch!!!! I am also happy that no one was injured!!!!!

Question, was it insured for collision? And if so who is it insured with?

When I hit a deer with our 78 Impala Wagon 6 years ago Haggardy was having a hard time finding parts to repair it. The damage was simalure to the damage on your Grand Safari, only the drivers side.

I convinced them to buy a parts car, and I found a 78 Impala sedan in OK that was straight, but had engine problems and many options I wanted. After rpairing the car I was able to keep and strip the remains of it, I added Tilt, and the split power bench seat to the wagon, and I still have the intermittant wipers, guage package, and power locks that I never got around to installing.

Then I was even able to scrap the carcas after selling alot of parts off it. I actually ended up making a few hundred dollers, added options to my car, and had all but 1 of the parts to repair my car. (I had to sign off that they had obtained all the parts needed to repairmy car, so I ended up having to look for a better grill myself later on.)

    Just something to think about.
