Hey guys, my name is Jared. Im 30 years old and happily married with two dogs. I just bought a 68 Country Sedan on Sat Sept. 20th. This is my third classic with the other two being a 1960 F-100 and a 1969 Cadillac Coupe Deville, both sold. My wife and I have been looking for a clean station wagon for some time, any make would have done. We looked and looked and everything we found was just too darn expensive. That is until we stumbled across this gem. The car with what time I’ve had to work on it, appears to be mostly original, with a 390/C6 and one repaint. As of today, I’ve removed the headliner and carpet, sanded the inside or the roof, got the car running and have replaced the starter solenoid, fuel filter, air filter, thermostat, changed the oil+filter, trans filter+fluid, a radiator flush, and I bypassed the heater core, it's leaking. I will take some updated pictures when I get a moment, looking forward to any and all advice/knowledge for you guys. Thanks.

:Welcome:to the group. Nice looking project. Glad you kept looking till you found one reasonably.

Question---Why did you tow it backward? Not a good idea because of weight.

I know, it was the only way I could get in on the trailer with a come along. The lady had it parked in front of a retaining wall, faced forward. So unless I wanted to pull it out with my truck, and re-position, it was the only option. Also I was by myself, it was dark, and it was only a 50 mile trek.

Thanks for the reply. I figured maybe you couldn't get the wagon turned around without problems. At least you made it okay.
