Well....THAT'S a damn shame! In looking at this car for tell tale signs...It LOOKS like a 50K miles car! Makes me sick. I LOVE these cars! I may have jumped this one it's so nice.

This could easily be rebuilt. Looks like the main impact went above the left front frame rail, into the sheet metal. Probably very minor frame damage, if any.....

Problem is, KK...the idiot stripped off the tail lights and the wheels! No way he will get $1500 for it now. I'm betting as the auction goes on even more things will disappear off the car. I emailed him and told him that I may have been interested if he hadn't started stripping it. He puts it up for auction showing pix of a nice car......except......the pix are no longer representative of the car.

Tail lights and wheels shouldn't really be a deal-breaker. They can be found. The seller sees that the money is in the interior, the doors, and the drivetrain. He's not marketing it now to someone who's going to rebuild it unfortunately, but to someone who wants the extra parts. He also doesn't want to part it out himself -too much labor.

CAN be found. Not easily in decent shape. The tail lights and wheels ARE a deal breaker for me. The lights on this car are cherry and the wheels are expensive if in decent shape. These wheels, with all the emblems in tact, are not as abundant as the older Buick Rally wheels. Sorry....we will have to agree to disagree on this one.:D
Another thing that bothers me is....the wood grain on this car is also cherry....but, how would you ever match it?

Here's the guys answer to my email....it appears that the frame was hurt. I didn't realize the guy is in Wisconsin either.:D

I resisted initially on selling any parts, but there were no others showing interest. I think the car was just past being economically repaired as the frame was hurt and even the roof was slightly buckled. I can get large parts back to WI (my home state) reasonable, so if you want that cherry interior it is possible..
EDIT:
Guess he is NOT in WI but can get parts here cheaply, he says.

That is a shame, it does look like it "was" a honest car.
Sorry Krash but I have to agree with Fox and disagree. Those wheels, caps and tail lites are not easy to find any more. I totaly licked out and got a set with the olds caps for super cheap, practickly gave them away from our member Madbiker ( Jeff ) who lives on my island. His wheels are in way better shape than mine. I'm saving Jeff's wheels for when I can get some nice new tires and use my Buicks for winter.

What a shame.......

OK, guess this one's worse that it looks. I was trying to be upbeat. Nobody wants to see a wagon die....

Yeah, KK....this reminds me of my 88 Electra after I hit the bridge. My car looked perfect until you looked at the right side. Mine was as cherry as this car if not more so. After I hit the bridge it shattered both the right side rims and set the right side of the frame back several inches but you couldn't tell anything was wrong by looking at the left side of the car. I miss that car. The car was perfect and I had the 455 in there perfect. It makes me sad to look at this wagon, too. Another perfect example of the Electra box wagon wiped from the earth.:(
Here's a pic of the color that mine was........

Gorgeous car, Fox. You have a beauty now, but this one is also damned nice. You certainly have had some beautiful wagons.

Hey, I read fast Fox. My memory has gone for pot, so what goes in apparently doesn't stick, but at least it is still going in. :D
