The inside tailgate panel on my 71 Chevelle wagon is a little beat up. Recently I have seen a Vista Cruiser with that panel carpeted. Are the panels interchangable from the Vista to the Chevelle? If it is, does anyone reproduce them??
They use the same tailgate so I would guess the trim panel would fit. I don't know of anybody reproducing the panels. If you could find the stainless rub strips that go on the inside of the gate trim panel over the carpeting you could carpet that one and it would be the same as the Vista. On my former Vista Cruiser I cut and fit the gate carpeting and had the trim shop finish the edges, same goes for the load floor carpeting.
If that is your panel in the picture, it looks nicer than the 2 I have, and I thought mine were pretty nice! Tom
