Hi all, does anyone know if the key cylinders of the driver-door, co-driver-door, gas cap, tailgate and ignition lock of a '61 Pioneer wagon are exchangable (see pictures)??? If yes I need to know if any of the available Chrysler replacement cylinders fit or if I have to serch for a junkyard car which has cylinders and keys available by chance? I'm currently restoring a '61 Pioneer Wagon and the keys are completely missing. Many thanks in advance for your help!!! Martin
A good locksmith should be able to sort out your problem if you have an orignal key that they can work with good luck Martin
Sorry Martin just got last line , a good locksmith should be able to work it out perhaps someone of an older era that has some prior dealings in this area
Hey Dennis...thanks for your reply! Problem is to find someone who is able to handle such old locks (at least here as I am based in Germany). Would be happy to get in touch with someone who is able to! Martin
Keys 'n stuff Mattin. Your ignition, doors and T-gate key are all the same key. Glove box is different and I hate being the one to tell you but you'll have to drill the gas cap and replace the cap!(they were never factory) '61 vintage tumblers are 5 pin tumblers. Mother Mopar went to 6 pin tumblers in 1968. (Keys look the same but the newer oner are a bit longer and groves are slightly different. Give me a few days to check with my locksmith guru and I'll see what we can get going for you. Worst case sinerio: you ship your ignition to me, pay the freight both ways and the key cutting and we'll make it happen. Stand By, Jer
