If you like the GM A-body wagons, this would be a good one to get. It's got the 3.8 Buick V6, which, IMO, is the best motor for these. You couldn't get the 3.8 in either the Chevy Celebrity or the Pontiac 6000, and after 88 or 89, it seemed all GM wanted to put in these was either the 3.1 or the 3.3 (a down-sized 3.8 I believe).
Agreed Krash. I owned a 3.8 equipped Century Estate and it had a lot of power while earning 30mpg highway. I've also driven a 3.3 equipped Oldsmobile Ciera wagon, just not the same. Our family has had several of these A-bodies and they are nice cars for what they are. My biggest complaint.... the front seat backs start to warp and turn inward, makes you feel like you're sitting in a hole. Also, the '88's still had dual headlights in true headlight buckets. Later years went to the euro style composite headlights. I always liked the buckets on these Century's. The euro headlights looked better on the Cutlass' and Cadillac Broughams.
