That one looks very nice and my preferred engine for that time period. I prefer the Fairmont styling but that one would tempt me if I had any money. mike
One of our members had a nice one of these for sale for a LONG time. Wanted $3000. Long time later it sold for somewhere in the teens. This Pebble & Rock ebay seller, actually a dealer called Montana Muscle and Classics, have a few of these Fox body wagons for sale and they have been for sale for a LOOOONNNG time at ridiculous prices. I like this car as I have liked others that this dealer has, but....their prices are stupid high. They have a good detailer, blast the under bodies and price them out of sight with good pix. It IS a nice car, but, $6500??
Nice wagon, and a beautiful color, but I agree, 'fox - too much money. Very low equipment level on this one. Heck, that Fairmont Squire that he has is equipped much better. I did see another CL post of this dealer for an older wagon, can't remember now just what it was, but it was not in the condition that these other wagons are, showed wear, etc. Price was still high though. Oh, yeah - it was '91 Colony Park, for $4,300 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Merc...rs_Trucks&hash=item2570c86175#ht_50111wt_1282
Yeah, KK. They have a lot of junk as well as nice cars. They are the kind of dealer that put ridiculous prices on cars and hold them up there as long as they can hoping for a sucker. After being in the biz and knowing so many dealers, I can tell right where this dealer is coming from and what his game is. When you look at this and where the guy started his price it gives you and idea of how silly the Granada dealer is. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1985-FORD-LTD-/120939200476?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item1c2889bfdc Or even that one for $800 with the 302 that was rust free! It was in Portland.
Yup - very close condition-wise, and one's $1,500 os so and the other is what - $6,500? And the cheaper one is newer. Onle difference is the front sheet metal and color (and I think the Granada is a straight 6 where the the LTD is the 3.8 V6).
