Haven't seen this one before. Looks nice. I like the gray exterior/red leather interior look. Very Ohio State! BIN price is about $18,700 in U.S. dollars. Located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Needs more photos. You're good if you like door jambs. https://www.ebay.com/itm/155798548701?hash=item24465130dd:g:cOIAAOSw9cxlFHps&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&campid=5335981329&customid=&toolid=10049
Not sure I’ve ever seen one by this point without body side moldings. Repaint? Also mentioned Chicago car originally. That would be enough to give me pause, but looks pretty good, and it is a XS.
Yes, very likely a repaint. "C0lor-keyed" body side moldings were standard equipment on all '78 Toronados.
I knew you would know. Being from Chicago it was always sad to see GM’s with body side moldings like Cadillac with little rust trails running down from the broken paint on the welds and then those with stick on moldings dropping off after about year 4-5. I don’t know what Ford did differently, but the moldings on the standard LTD and Marquis models never seemed to have those same issues. Whatever it was GM had it figured out in the downsized lines after about ‘77-‘78.
