Ah! A 1974 CANADIAN Mercury Bobcat. The Mercury dealers in the U.S. didn't get to sell Bobcats until the 1975 model year. This Canadian Bobcat is still using the Pinto Hood and a slightly different version of the Pinto grill, while the U.S. Bobcat used a new hood and grill. Different tail lights, too.

Apparently some guy named Manuel also comes with the car which may or may not be a positive.

I didn't notice the regular Pinto Hood on this 74 Canadian Bobcat, Nice! It does have different Tail Lights than a Pinto, It looks prerrt good with those little Mag wheels

I never thought I would see the day when a Pinto or Bobcat was looked at in a positive light. Amazing.
To be fair, I never had anything against the Pinto/Bobcat personally. In fact I always kinda liked them. My Grandpa had one for years. It was a great little car. I had to defend it at every turn because it seemed society as a whole had deemed it to be the biggest automotive joke of the era.

The joke should have been the Whiz Kids, not the cars, as it was those jokers who thought they could get away with making cheap payouts to surviving family members after a rear-end collision involving fire.
