http://dayton.craigslist.org/cto/5763917168.html Wild custom. Bone stock is more my style. Manual gate, cracked dash, chrome has been painted, shaved door handles. Looks like standing water and/or rust in cargo area. $5000 definitely a head turner, but looks like it needs a bunch of interior work. I wonder what this original Texas wagon looked like before he started on it. I kinda like the blacked out grille and tinted tail lights.
Too low for my taste(stance) and that's the first I have seen the interior. I believe it's a solid wagon but I think it looks like bondo in the drivers rear 1/4. which is totally normal.( I did ask about that a while back and was told there was none). Really not into the painted bumpers and the wheels and tires. Would take a lot of work to make it how I would want it.
Solid car but it's def going to take the right person to buy it. I offered him $4,500 on it last year and he didn't accept it. Very nice guy if you actually call and talk to him. He has a few other 71-76 GM sedans.
No actually I'd flat black it and get rid of the ugly green or in fact mask off this green and change it and leave the lower. And then swap out the interior and get rid of that ugly green. And then I'd put my full size 2x4 Chevy truck wheels on it.
I think I'd put a roof rack on it and drive it as-is. Looks pretty straight with an expensive paint job. It would definitely sell quicker on the west coast. This is the type of wagon where you could drop in a crate 454 and enjoy it without hurting the value. Unlike that other nice low mile ~74 Chev 454 wood grain wagon where the owner wanted to stoplight race it to surprise people and swapped in a new 454 HO.
Yes, we've seen this one before. I believe the price on it previously (it's been 2-3 years or so) was significantly higher, like in the teens.....
