Pretty rough condition. Those must have been a tough 89k miles. Not sure that 40+ year old tires with 89ooo miles (if the claim is actually true which I doubt) is a real selling point.

Yet another instance where low mileage means nothing if the whole car needs a complete restoration anyway.

First, the hideaway headlights are not rare on this model; they were standard. Of course, the '72 Sport Suburban is a pretty rare model these days, and it wasn't all that common when it was new.

Second, 89,000 miles may be low for a '96 Roadmaster, but it's not low for a '72 anything. Better oils and the increased awareness of the need for regular maintenance that goes hand-in-hand with cars averaging over $20k in price have gone a very long way in increasing the longevity of engines. This car went a decade or two before these factors kicked in. Now the Mopar B/RB motor is sturdy enough that it likely still has a lot of life left in it, but it's going to show a great deal more wear than a motor from more recent times with comparable mileage.

This is a pretty rough project car. The left fender and driver's door and going to be a bear to fix. Too bad as this model is on my lottery list.
