You are correct, sir. Bottom to top of the big '72 Chevy wagon line-up:
    Brookwood, Townsman, Kingswood, Kingswood Estate.

Is the 72 Woodgrain trim different from a 73. I would buy this one just for the woodgrain trim for my 73. Then I would switch my trim back to it and sell it

Wish this one wasn't so far away because that is a pretty decent price!

This is a '73. It clearly says Caprice Estate on the quarter.

    hmmm

Was going to mention that, too, but you got there first... It's also easy to see which side of the car was facing the sun EVERY TIME they parked it. :49: Doesn't look too bad as an investment piece.

Yeah, as Wixom stated, it is clearly a '73... it has the Caprice Estate emblems, as well as the 1973 hubcaps and you can also see the seating trim pattern, which had a different pattern from the 1972 Caprice wagons. THe seller has the year on this one incorrect. It was probably made in late 1972 and they are using that as the model year.

*If Chevy hadn't of played switch-up on their wagon names like they did for so many years it would have been easier for many to understand. The Kingswood Estate is technically a Caprice Estate, it is a Caprice wagon... Chevy just switched the names up between 1972-1973, dropping the Kingswood/Kingswood Estate names, as well as Brookwood/Townsman and naming the wagons what they actually were, except naming the Caprice wagon a Caprice Estate for '73.

It looks nicely optioned, with the exception of not having a 3rd seat. :) This is a very popular color on these... I bet 70% were this color. :)

Is it parts car material? Looks like a good restorable car to me. I would love to have it if it had a 3rd seat. :(

I would steal the good trim off it and install my "not so good" trim back on it. Actually my son wants it for his "driver" so he can leave the Z28 at home in inclement weather. No response from him as of yet. I even pointed him to the website so he could see how I found his car
