At least clean it up, if you want to ask that kind of money.

This one is certainly worth saving, but I have to agree with the comments by Bigboats. Seems like a high price to pay for the condition that it is in.

Assuming the 427 is original to the wagon, if restored, I'd bet this would be about a $32k wagon. You would most likely have to spend $20k + to get it to that point, though.

At LEAST 20K. Having been involved in a number of restorations over the past few years I can tell you from my experience it's expensive. If someone wanted this car for a flip they would most likely never make back all of their money, let alone make money. Unless you happen to posses some skills like being a body man or a painter yourself, the costs add up fast. It's the classic line from the B-J auctions "that car was well bought, you couldn't restore one for that price"

The New Mexico plate explains the body and interiors condition, really loaded Chevy for the era, well worth saving, but the asking price is at least 2X what it is worth IMO probably more like 3X if I were going to take it on.

I would estimate more like $30,000 needed to bring it up to the $32,000 potential selling price. Not many 427 powered wagons were sold in 69. I would be tempted to recreate my Fathers 69 427 Townsman if this one didn't have the woodgrain & all the other options my father didn't pay for, Like A/C, Tilt, ect......

Still interesting, but probably a low horse 427.

I like all those options though.

That's an old NM plate and an ancient Jiffy Lube sticker on it. I wonder how long it's been in Ohio.

Hmm? Maybe if the drivetrain is indeed perfect, and the AC blows cold?

Low horse 69 427? Is that possible? 1977 Ford 460, 195 galloping horses. Now there's power for ya! He's definitely putting a premium on that 427. Five for the wagon and five for the powertrain?
