These full-size Fords/Mercs of this era suck in derbys anyway. I guess this guy doesn't know that. Don't stand a chance against a 70's GM or mopar.

Won't stand a chance against a 90's panther product either. Plus I believe it's getting harder to run the older cars in shows as not many shows allow them. Not sure though on that.

I wonder about that too...I'm not a derby guy, but heck, it would seem that how in the world could most of your 1985-2000 cheapies like a Taurus or Lumina or Dodge Intrepid, etc. stand up to a GM roundback or Chrysler shocker anyways? It wouldn't seem fair.

Way back when, when I went to a few derbies, I always thought it was neat to see the "little car" derbys - they seemed to be able to maneuver around much better and pick up speed a lot more. All that buzzing around of Horizons, Rabbits, etc and the occasional Celebrity or Granada.
