Going to try a replace the door windlace for my 65 Impala.
The headlinging in the wagon I have now is in excellent shape and I really dont want to remove it.

Is there anyway to attach the lace without removing the headliner?
currently the windlace is shot and it's windlace that is attached with staples to this rubber material.

as you can imagine the areas where the headliner is will be tough to mount.

Also - besides the material windlace is there a rubber version that I could replace it with? I would hate to redo the windlace with material only to have it ruined in a month because you know that it's not going to last.
they never did from the factory.
