Hey, Guys & Gals, its been awhile. Our new acquisition is a 61 Parkwood. Its in pretty decent shape, with the exception of the floor pans, do any of you know if a4 door Impala pans will work? Behemoth (1972 chevelle)is still being worked on but we just couldn't pass up the Parkwood. Thanks for the help.
Off the top of my head - a sedan floor pan should fit in the front area of your wagon fine. Just in case, though, you might want to go to your local salvage yard where they have them big parts interchange books (forget the name......). Let's hope your local yard keeps all their really old interchange books.
Krash, you are thinking of "Hollanders", and any good wrecking yard will have one. I am quite sure that the front seat area floor pans are exactly the same. From the B pillar forward there is no difference between sedan and wagon. I believe the rear seat floor pan is the same as well. The lower door is the same, as is the trim. Just the upper door and window are different. Floor pans in the back are definitely different than the sedan/coupe trunk floor, however.
Thanks guys, the next swap here in N. Texas is a pretty big one, with vendors from all over the Midwest. I plan on taking some measurements and pictures of what they look like with us. That's what I did with the Chevelle wagon, I used patch panels for an el camino. But that was easier because that's what the hubby was working on.
