Hello All, Just stumbled across this forum and since I am in the process of restoring a vintage long-roof I thought I'd join up and take a look around. I've been the proud owner of a 1960 Valiant V200 Suburban for a little over ten years now. When I first bought the car, it was my daily driver (except in the snow) for about 4 years. After that I garaged it for several years until a little over a year ago when I embarked on a full cosmetic restoration. So far bodywork and paint is done, brakes upgraded with all new lines, hoses, wheel cylinders and a dual master cylinder. Engine is now back in and working on re-assembly and engine bay details. I'll be posting some photos soon so stay tuned. That's all for now. Sincerely 60Burban
Hi 60Burban nice to meet you. I have to say you made me feel better, I've had my car for almost 4 years now. To say the resto has been slow is an understatment. Thanks and aborad.
Welcome, 60Burban! Glad you're here. Always nice to have a early A-body owner. Back in 2012, I came this close to buying a '62 V-200 wagon from an owner near Seattle. This particular lime green V-200 had a nicely warmed-over 360 in it, and a few other things. Sadly, we couldn't come to an agreement. That V-200 was headed to Australia the last I heard. If you have some pics of your work on the Valiant, make a thread in our 'Projects' section. Marshall
60 Burban , love to see some pics as we did not have 60 wagons . Our first experience was a 64 Valiant safari or Regal wagon from Downunder
