    Wonder about that Buick 430 myself. Not enough of a hot rodder to know the pros and cons of that particular engine. What I do know is that I absolutely love that Pontiac. Let me check under the sofa cushions for a loose $32K.

    The Buick 430 is undoubtedly superior over the original engine, in terms of performance and weight. The drawback is the disappointment felt by more purist potential buyers who would have objected much less if at all had a Pontiac 400, 421, 428 or 455 been installed instead

    While there is no question of my love for anything Buick, I would agree a Pontiac power plant would have been a wiser choice in this case.
