I desperately want this rare wagon but it's a bit more of a project than I can muscle. Somebody save this wonderful wagon! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...m=&sspagename=ADME:B:SS:US:1123#ht_500wt_1182
Definitely one of my all time favorites! Big project and the price is way up there, though. And....I prefer the hardtop model.....
All class. Stylish, lots of innovative stuff in that model. And a Matador too boot! Hawk your soul and get it!
I never understood the reason that Chrysler came out with both the Matador and Polara?? Same basic car with the Polara being the higher end model but with just a few trim upgrades. The engine was a 383 in the Polara and a 361 in the Matador. Matador had a 2 speed auto, the Polara a 3 speed. So....why not just have one model with different trim levels? Well...now that I think about it....it was a marketing ploy to get you to spend more for the Polara. Show everyone you had the "high end" model.
I have a 64 9 pass, a,c , p,s ,auto hardtop 880 for $3500.00 not a cream puff but not a pos either, Org black plate car on non op , runs stops but needs everthing looked at before going back on the road. 63 is a parts car, white 64 is my keeper and the gold 64 is for sale . I have a good grill and rt rocker mld to go with it.
I do like that wagon style, Dan....but I'm really partial to the 60 Polara with those cool fins and round tail lights sticking out the back.
LOL....right on, Dan....cars are like women...they're all good.......some are just better than others.
