I'm registered as 440 Wagon, My name is John and I live in San Diego. I have always been a classic car nut with a major bent toward Mopars, having at leat 8 or 9 project cars in the yard at any given time. I recently purchased a beautiful 68 Chrysler Town and Country and am now looking for a vintage travel trailer to make a toyhauler out of. My wife and I will be empty nesters in about 7 years and I want to tour the country with our wagon and our motorcycle. Say hello.
Welcome to the forums John . You have a very nice T&C. We have a few members that have vintage trailers that they pull with their wagon.
When you find a vintage trailer, you might want to look at this: http://www.oldwoodies.com/shoptalk-trailer.htm Even if you don't find one, all the plans are there!
hello from another town and country owner! welcome to this great site! your t&c is really beautiful, and it will make a terrific toy hauler! not to mention a great road trip wagon! i love that era of chryslers, they really have great lines to them! well take care and enjoy the site! -bob
Thanks to all for making me feel welcome Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who replied to my introduction. I hope to be a regular visitor and will update pictures as I make progress with this ride. I'm always looking for or willing to trade parts and always have several Mopars for sale or trade. sounds good! my dad and i have been looking to sell our 1972 town and country. its only got 45k original miles and it shows. it needs some minor, minor cosmetic stuff because it wasnt sealed in a heated garage when it was put away! lol. but my dad just feels that it is too nice for him and it should go to someone who is a true collector of these cars who can properly do the minor cosmetics(some woodgrain resto, and a paintjob if youre picky) and then display it as it should be. so if youre interested, or know of someone who is, that would be of great help, as we want it to go to someone who loves mopars and who really cares about these wagons like we do. we just dont have the right finances and proper facilities to do right by this wagon. oh, and if you ever come across a solid 1974 dodge monaco, that would make a good bluesmobile or vintage cop car, let me know! -bob
