SHE'S A KEEPER!:) We picked her up earlier this year(May) and she has seen better days! Everything underneath seems to be in good shape(frame, etc.) The seats, headliner, door panels, etc are also in good shape and all original. The motor(inline 6) runs and she does move when coaxed. :)However the body will be needing alot of love. The quarter panels and rockers will need replacing. Also the front fenders but all four doors are workable. We are trying to get our restoration plans organized so she can begin her rehab over the winter. I have been checking out a few parts sites and there seems to be a bit of confusion as to wether Chevelle 1/4 panels are interchangable with Beaumont 1/4 panels. So that is my first question, is it possible to use Chevelle 1/4 panels on our Beaumont and where are the best places, in Canada if possible, to start looking? I hope to send pictures :camera:as the work begins. Thanks for having a forum like this so newbys like me can get answers from like minded folks like yourselves.
I was just checking out your site abit seems there is already a picture on this site showing the car for sale...maybe it could be labeled sold now? She's not going anywhere for a while.

Welcome Fannie. :Welcome: I lived in Oshawa, where the Canadian Chevelles and Beaumonts were built. They sure look identical for most of the sheetmetal.

This site might help - Chevelle sheetmetal for wagons. Email them?

Sheesh! I just noticed that yours is a 1968! I had a summer job working for Rexco Aluminum, making the grilles for the '68 Beaumonts, in 1967! Go figure!

    :Welcome: From the Rock Fannie:cheers:

I know the quarters are the same for 2 and 4 door car, can't see it being different on a wagon. All they did to Chevelles was give them a Canadian face lift to make the Beaumont.

Good luck with it, keep up popsted and don't forget....we love pics:tiphat:

You might also check the quarter panels off of an El Camino of that year.

I was always under the assumption that they were different, back form my early damage appraisal days. Well, you unlearn something old every day.......

Did you mean to say front fenders from a wagon or El Camino? I know for 70-72 the wagon and El Camino front fenders were different from the regular 2 and 4 door body style. Not sure on pre-'70.

    **EDIT**
Found this on a Chevelle site:

    "Fenders:

All 1968 Chevelle fenders (coupe, wagon, convertible, and El Camino) are the same.
1968 and 1969 fenders are very similar and can interchange, but the side marker light holes are slightly different."

Obviously they aren't talking about Beaumonts specifically, but hopefully you can use this as a guide. My dad has a '72 El Camino and up until a few years ago it was pretty hard to find the wagon/El Camino front fenders. Looks like you don't have that issue.

Never was good at quarter panels. Rear quarters were more my forte, in my younger days.:biglaugh:

Hope that info works for ya. :thumbs2:
