Thanks everyone for the encouraging comments and well wishes. It's nice to be the owner of a car like this.
Yeah, those items are on my to do list, but they're at about 872 and 873 in priority. Actually, I live in redneck country, so maybe a 10 inch lift, 4WD and a gun rack would work better.

How did I miss this intro? I needed a drooling fix so bad over the last few days too! Welcome Tiga and Big Red! What a gorgeous wagon! Nuthin' but class!
You bet they are! I'm all about keeping this car original and stock appearing. It would be a shame to molest this car by funkifying it.
Glad to hear it, tig! It would be a travesty to alter that beauty after it survived all these years in perfect shape.
Fox: It has been a while, hasn't it? I haven't driven it much over the winter because I try to avoid driving it in the rain. But, when I have taken it out it's run nicely. Every time I drive it I get at least one thumbs up or a positive comment. Unfortunately, hot chicks aren't the ones who comment on it, but rather middle aged men who can truly appreciate the car. In November, I had a local shop fix the wiring that goes back to the power window on the tailgate, so that's working beautifully now. They also fixed the tailgate so it's again a fully functioning three way magic doorgate. Since I've gotten it I've also had the exhaust replaced and I still have that used windshield that needs to be put in (the current one has a small crack in it, but it's still quite presentable). The car really doesn't need much other than a few cosmetics (paint is worn off on the lower rocker panels, vinyl woodgrain could use some work, etc.).
