From suburbs of Phila.My dad always had full size GM wagons,when I was growing up.I have been married 20 years have had a 1985 Escort wagon,1982 Caprice,1985 Caprice,1980 Malibu & a 1992 Olds CC. The Malibu I race-I put a Buick Grand National motor in it.It had a 2004r overdrive trans,a GN posi rear & AC.Stock ECM & stock MAF sensor.It ran a best of 11.0 @125 in the quarter.Here's a 11.12@119 mph. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmVuWO6I9QE My wifes daily driver was the Olds(Impala SS grill & wheels).She used it from 1997-2008,I put a GN motor in that also.It ran a 12.76@105 (heavy )It has AC,CRUISE,O.D etc.
Whowh, your malibu......... 85 Escort wagon, thats some thing definetly not seen every day. Your Olds (with a Cheby nose?) Love it, must go like a bat out of hell!
Not real proud of the Escort,but it did get 25mpg around town. Malibu was fun.I sold it to one of my best friends & believe it or not,he is doing a frame off restoration on it now.The frame is being coated & the body is currently on the rotisserie!
