I figured out the you can play a iPod without having to change out the old school radio in your car (unless it's AM only) . I bought a FM transmitter/powercord for my iPod because my daily driver didn't have a aux. input. I got to thinking ," I wonder if this would work on a analog radio?". Well it does, I know some have you already know this but I though I would pass it on. My 73 Ford Wagon has a AM/FM mono radio in it,so it won't be in stereo but it actually sounded pretty good. My 76 Jeep J-10 truck has a AM radio with a vintage FM converter hanging under the dash, it works pretty good in it also. If you get a FM transmitter use one that has unlimited station frequencies that way you can tune far away from any local stations that might share whatever ever frequency your on.
I use this Belkin FM transmitter and 8GB iPod Nano on my original 8-track AM/FM radio. Plug it into your lighter socket and that's all you need + Works like a charm with an extra amplifier + better speakers !!
yup! My sister has one. I don't have the ipod yet. The only problem is in cities where there aren't many unused frequencies left, you can get a lot of static. There is something that has a rewritable tape too, maybe they have one that hooks into ipods? They used to make them for CD players.
A buddy of mine installed an aftermarket amp to some new speakers and ran the Ipod straight to the amp with a 3.5mm to RCA cable. No radio stations but he doesn't listen to them anyways.
The best way to do it is right here! http://www.rediscoveradio.com/ Even works on AM only radios! Sounds great and is made by a true old car enthusiast.:2_thumbs_up_-_anima
