Simon, this car would be absolutely perfect for you. I wish I was in a little better, (actually alot better), financial position and I would've bought this beauty in a heart beat. 442 lives near the guy and knows his phone #. You should pm him.

I'm working with another forum member on the car, but if that falls through I'll let you know. I expect to go see the car tomorrow night...

Hopefully, the front end's in fine shape and it won't shake at all.

Anxious bunch here...lol. I looked it over hard, and one of our members (to be named at his choosing) is going to make an offer - hopefully tonight. The car is in amazing condition, and is a steal - that I'm sure of. If I had close to enough open balance on a card, it would already be in my driveway (and remember - I'm not a Ford guy).

"Bud", the owner bought the car new. He is 80some years old, hard of hearing, and hard to understand. As an example of the condition of this car, he always keeps a towel on top of the dash of his cars to keep them nice. Here's a pic of the dashpad when he pulled the towel away as a bit of a tease...

The whole car is this nice. It's not "perfect", but it's sure as close as you'll find for a one-owner wagon. Stay tuned... I'll tell you more once the deal is made (or not...)...

78 Ford LTD Wagon saw it this morning!!!!

Its' been an ON-GOING process getting a hold of the owner!!!!
He had been celebrating his 60th Wedding Anniversary for a week.
Then went Camping. ( Quite an active fellow actually! ) THEN, he did
not want to sell it until he got some things fixed on it. As of today, the
car is mine and will be on its' way to Colorado. I'll post pictures when it
arrives. Thanks for all the interest and I'll keep you posted. Just wanted to
mention, I didn't even go after it until 2 weeks after the original post, in
case someone here was desperately wanting it.
