"This is a 1972 Plymouth Satellite Regent station wagon. It has a big-block 400 engine, 727 automatic trans, and 8-3/4 rear axle. This thing is in fantastic shape and only has 80,000 original miles.

The story is that an old couple had the car and kept it inside. When the man died, the kids donated the car to one of those cars for charities places. As a result, it has a salvage title. It was rescued by the guy I bought the car from.

The car runs and drives extremely well, with no odd engine noises, nothing wrong with the trans, and a suspension that goes straight down the road and brakes stop well. It has one-finger power steering and power disc brakes. One bummer is that the choke does not work, and you have to pump it a lot to get it running if it has been sitting a while, even overnight. It has a fairly new muffler and a fresh radiator within the lat 1,000 miles.

The interior is in amazing condition, with a perfect dash pad and a mint headliner. All the door panels are in great shape, with some arm wear on the driver door, and the carpet is very good with small holes only as the heel resting points. All the gauges work except for the fuel level and all the interior and exterior lights work. All the air conditioning components are intact, but the air does not blow cold. Even the factory a.m. radio and speaker works well.

The body is also exceptional, with mostly original paint. It does look like the driver front fender and rear quarter around the gas door were repainted a very long time ago, as the paint is fading at a slightly different rate and it?s chipping down to the original paint around the gas door. The wood trim is pretty dry. The worst part of the body is a small dent in the passenger fender that tweaked the rear fender edge just enough that the passenger door can?t open without hitting it. I have never used the passenger door for this reason. The dent also got the trim on the fender. See the photos. The floors and quarters have no rust at all and are impressively clean. The only rust is some small holes in the typical area at the rear base of the rear side windows. This area has been ?repaired,? probably by the original owner, with friction tape and a strip of rubber seal. It?s actually surprisingly good; not as bad as it sounds. See the photos.

Overall this is a very impressive old Mopar wagon that I have used as a daily driver with no complaints. It?s perfect for that use, or you can hop it up because it?s just a B-body and takes all the same chassis parts as a Charger or Road Runner or whatever. Also, it?s possible to bolt a ?71 or ?72 Road Runner front clip to it to make a clone RR wagon.

I had planned to keep this, but life has changed. Need it gone fast. It's in outside storage and I don't want it to deteriorate. Cell 818/967-0044 "

Unfortunately,the71-74 2 door B body Plymouths used different sheetmetal compared to the 4dr and wagons. The body lines are different and will not match.
Besides the Regent wagons are far and few left so I would not change a thing.
The Ralleye dash with the 150MPH speedo is a desirable option along with the big block and A/C.

There was no Power Bulge hood that would fit the 71 to 74 B body 4 door sedans and wagons. Power bulge hood from a 2 door like a Road Runner or GTX won't fit. It would be like trying to put a Mustang hood on a Falcon. Floor pans are shared with the sedans and wagons, but ALL exterior sheet metal is different.
