When I first saw the title, I thought your girlfriend was pregnant! I probably got that thought as a friend of mine told me that his wife was pregnant yesterday...

YISHE...at my age??..thats all i'd need !!..DONT EVEN THUNK IT!!:biglaugh:

ANYHOO.....well you guys musta been praying for me!! ;)
    ...its such a long story...oy...but I tell ya...I have 2 new freinds!!
Now mind ya...they are in their 80's...and the wife aint well..but geez ..after the way this woman told me "Quit harrasing us!!"..2 years ago:D
You sure wouldnt have known it today...2 pots of coffee, a dozen cookies,
sandwiches, I helped him pull the sink out of his basement suite!

I got there at 10;30am...and left at 4;30pm!!!:biglaugh:
The sweetest old couple I've ever met! He's a retired merchant marine, she's a houswife. He told me the greatest stories all day..I feel like I've known these 2 for years....wierd huh?

And soooo...the car was hers to drive, but it came from his DAD, DAD bought it new and gave it to them (2 years later) when they moved to BC,canada from Manitoba

He gave me the original bill of sale!! the original Insurance papers !!
a crap load od old photos..each with lil stories on the back !!
....AND...most importantly...they gave me the car...SOO CHEAP...that they might as well have given it to me!:thumbs2:

After 9 years of tormenting them...it was worth it!!...well... for me:D

so..without too much more fanfare...it aint perfect..but it made it home...and I was at home driving it!!
I needed this like a hole in tha head...and I hated to spend the money!!
...but as I always say to the kid..."You know where theres another???"
    :thumbs2:

Congratulations, that car looks solid! I think a lot of us enjoy the hunt as much if not more than actually owning the cars.

I'd love to have a small Falcon or Comet wagon -- nearly pulled the trigger on a two-door Comet wagon on ebay around Christmas. It went so cheap, I've been regretting it, but I do have to keep She Who Must Be Obeyed (SWMBO) relatively happy, and I'm maxxed out right now with three old Mercurys.

Enjoy that falcon woody. What's your plan for it? Restore back to original, or just keep it as a driver?

From MANITOBA to the ANNUAL CAR WASH PROVINCE. You are one lucky puppy. It looks really nice for being so original.

And since it was a local car, the Earth won't tilt too much.

    Well done, Rev.:D

:D I was watching that lil Comet wagon too..not a bad price!!

as for this one...probably just lower it , some wheels and drive it!
I've become quite fond of the "patina" look....mostly cuz i'm lazy:biglaugh:

Ya Stormin...all the way out here:jumping: ...the other side aint so pretty, rear quarters rusty, doors mangled, fenders tweeked !!
...but fortunately...I'm a hoarder..and have most of the pieces needed to fix her a bit:dancing:
..I just scanned all the old pics...some neat stuff!

I'm not gonna raz him about it, because it couldn't have fallen to better hands. Saved from a rice-rocket factory. Sorry Mazda guys, but those cars were my car's grand-daddy.
