OOOHHHH!!! You just have to love that roof. Not many around, too many people used the roofs when they customized their vans in the '70's.

I have passed the advert for this one as well as the '58 Edsel wagon on to a buddy who is looking for a vintage TV for his vintage Silver Streak trailer (Airstream competitor). I think he will really like the Edsel but I suspect he'll see the practicality of the Buick. It will be interesting to see if he bites on either of them. I really really like the Buick. My buddy had the Old's equivalent and it was nice and very original, but I've always preferred the Buick look. A little squarer, seems to compliment the roof nicely.

That roof is cool, I have one sort of like that.:D

No pics up close?, beware of the dreaded skywagon roof and rear side window channel rust.
The car looks nice from 50 feet away but most likely has a lot of miles and everything will need rebuilt, sitting low now. If the body is clean and if everything's there it's pretty nice...for $3K.;)

some of the old post have pics of that area. A little rust bubble by one window, and the headliner looks mint. It seems to be a REALLY nice car. I like the buick styling a lot. I keep holding out for a pontiac something because I have so many extra parts. I really dont want to have to collect spares for a second brand. I am pressed for space. I should buy it. I probably wont. Then I will kick myself.

You could get a sportwagon or vista cruiser and turn it into the pontiac equivalent. If you had a place to do the work. front clip, interior, maybe redo the quarters.

i am not really into the Vista roofs to be honest. This is the first car I have liked it on. overall i like just like this car. its easier for me to like a non POntiac car, because I keep all my Pontiacs. Any Pontiac I buy is like getting married, but any off brand is like a fling. But I am really thinking of getting something non Pontiac just for a change. Who knows? So many cars, so little money (and storage space)!

    Goat Wagon?

A Buick isn't "off-brand"?;) The GM marques are more alike than different, engines are the biggest thing, otherwise it's just the shape and the interior more or less.
Converting a vista roofed car into a Pontiac would be a stretch, be easier to put the vista roof on a Poncho. You would have to section it 5 inches since they're that much longer than a "normal" station wagon, otherwise no problem.:)
But you aren't really into Vista roofs so the point is mooted.:D To each their own, personally I would rather have too much than not enough.:)

I have a Poncho too.
I've had a bunch, never had an Olds before. The more I look at them I think I may need a Sportie next, then I could be a real BOP man.:rofl2:
