Mercedes new concept wagon http://www.autoblog.com/photos/mercedes-benz-cls-shooting-break-concept/#2908634
Yes. Stephan posted the link in the 'News' section. I don't like it. too 'curvy' for me.....I like wagons that look like wagons....
i didnt think to check the news section, i did make sure it wasnt in the discussion section though. i kind of like it, but i bet its got a helluva blind spot if its anything like the magnum. they are hard as hell to see out of.
love it Saw this wagon in 2007 at the LA Auto Show. Was killer then, is killer now, I'd buy it in a heartbeat if only it was a hybrid or had some kind of green technology behind it's engine. As it is, it's really a performance wagon and looks like it will get crappy mileage, like most other Mercedes. Lame, after everything we know about how hybrids can help. I especially like it because it reminds me (in ways) of the lines on my 60 Valiant wagon. Aggressive and fleet lines.
Thanks! I think so. I just wish they would attach to the body a bit better. There's only one adjustable 'hook' that holds them in, and I'm constantly having to re-orient them. Now I just leave them off and will probably just put them on for meets.
Am I seeing things, or is your quarter side glass missing? Man the more I see these early Valiant wagons, the more I want one. Maybe as a second collector wagon. Not many people remember, but these were available with a rear-facing third seat.....making a small 9-passenger wagon.
Quarter cargo glass is currently out: you're seeing correctly. As you can observe, the shape of those rear cargo windows is quite unique. During the re-paint, I had to remove the seals and glass. Now, I am searching for new seals, or will work with the new straight rubber seals of the right profile (which I have) to create a new gasket for the windows. Not ideal, but there was no alternative. BTW - that 9-passenger Valiant wagon you refer to is probably the rarest of the rare of these. About 2200 of them made. Trying to find any other 60 Valiant wagon is hard enough, and the 9 passenger models nearly don't exist, though I just saw one sell somewhere down in GA for a very cheap price, considering.
