I wonder what he'd let it go for if he got to keep the Tweety Bird floor mats? That is the interior I need for my car. Be a shame to part it out though Oh, to be filthy rich. Even just clean rich would be okay. Any kind of rich works for me. Just so's I could have a bunch of wagons tucked away including a '55 and a '56 (that one Fox posted a while back haunts me - too bad it isn't haunting my bank account).
Really nice Pontiac but I'm no fan of tweety bird. That A/C compressor looks as big as a four speed transmission.
Yeah, we were looking at the one for the Chevelle thinking holy smokes, it is going to add a lot of weight. However, She Who Wants A/C seems to think it is much smaller than a refrigerator, keeps the car cold, and so what's the problem?
Saf...this car is relisted with a Buy It Now price of $28,000. I guess now we know what he will take for it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1955...ewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item3a59695b88
Wow, thanks Fox. For what it is the price seems fair to me. It is surprising how many have survived, like the Nomad copy cats. I drove mine today, from teh front garage to the shop out back. We've got a couple of days left on the Chevelle, then it will come up front as well and I'll tear into the Safari. I've got a new rear diff to slide in and some squeeks that need to be fixed before the summer fun begins. Darn I'd like a '55 or '56 (preferred) to keep mine company...........
Wow- no buyers at almost $30k? There's rubber Home Depot type material thrown in the back, TJ style vinly seats...still a project. People think these are worth a firtune if they slap paint on 'em! I have seen correctly restored ones, people actually fussed over over every detail on, going for less rececently...(economy).
