Just bought a 4 door wagon. My first project is to covert the manual steering to power. I will search the forums for help.(y)

NICE wagon RSKABA. There are a ton of options for going to power steering (and brakes if that is required as well). You can buy kits, play in wrecking yards, etc. My buddy with his '55 BelAir hdtp did the 605 steering box conversion, then rode in one that had the rack and pinion option and immediately went to that. Says there is no way to compare they are so different and he wished he'd of not wasted the money on the 605 swap. I think the rack set up was about 30% more than the other but the end result was well worth it. For my '57 I cheated and did a front clip to a 77 Trans Am clip. Works well for me, but could have also just done suspension upgrade with today's kits. They weren't available 20 years ago.

Glad you are here. More pics of that car would be great.

Welcome aboard! Take pics of that powersteering upgrade and list the bits and parts that you used. Seems to be a popular upgrade on those classic chevies.:Welcome:

Just bought a power brake booster kit off ebay for $140. The seller is Tomsclassics and they have an 800 number to call. The kit has everything to bolt up to the stock '55 firewall. Its a 7" dual diaphragm brake booster and master cylinder.
