Great story on the '69. I love it when stuff like that happens. I had a '71 black and white Cutlass Supreme convertible in college back in the 70's. I sold it in Jan of '78 to some guy who worked at an auto parts store in Clemson, SC. I've always dreamed of someday finding it and buying it back.

Love the Ford. My dad had a 69 Country Squire as well. His was Champagne Gold if I recall the name of the color correctly.

snooterbuckets, most of the property information is online here in SC you could start doing vin number searches. If you still have it somewhere.

I really like Lou's '58 Plymouth wagon. If I understood him correctly at the Tin Can Tourists event in Lynden last September, he bought this car with the mechanical upgrades done front to back, rebuilt engine and tranny, interior done(?) but needing some finish bodywork and paint. I'm pretty sure that's what he told us. Said the guy who had all the work done on it had 15 cars and had decided to cull 5 from the herd and this was one of them. Sure does look purty.

And the wagon that found its way back to the original owners son is a real neat story. That needs to happen more often.

Jase386, thanks for the suggestion. I'll bet if I looked around my house hard enough, I could still find the vin on that car. The house was flooded 3 yrs ago and I lost alot of old historice papers, but I'm going to see if I can find it. If I do, I'll let you know and you can guide me through.

Yeah, I was impressed with how he got the wagon and what he'd planned for it. I'm glad he now has a wagon as he and Les are the kind of people who really use their cars they way they should be used. I expect he'll be towing his vintage trailers with it like he does with his other cars/truck.
