Could be a ploy. I have seen it before. No telling if the guy is serious or just wanting a buyer to step up with big money to "save" it.

:slap: Ok, so I must be tired after a long shift at work.
I thought the title of the thread said something about an 89 Caprice pinewood derby car.

I think I agree with silverfox that it sounds like hes baiting a buyer.

I hope that's the case. That wagon looks way too nice to even think about putting it in the d word.

I'm not saying I'm right about this one, snoot....but that's usually the case when they are REALLY looking for a buyer for the whole car. Some people jump in crying that it's too nice to part out etc. Seller says....well, unless you make me an offer I can't refuse I'm trashing it.

So he's just 'stoking' the sale. Not a real master-baiter.:)

I hope you are right Fox. I've seen this in the past as well. The car does look good in the pictures at least.

I son't think you were wrong Fox, you just "misspoke" . Isn't that the new term? But I'm still wondering if he's looking for someone to opt in and take the remains off his plate. Of course it could be a rust bucket too, who knows given we can't see a whole lot of the car.......

This could also be a creative way of saying that these parts are missing.
I still get the feeling that this ad is bait for a wagon fan to "come to its rescue".

me being a demilition derby driver i have to admit that is a good car to build.but man thats to nice of a wagon to tear up.i would have keep that as a driver.the cars i use to build a demo car are ones i know that will never see the road again.to me i think he could have sold that wagon and bought 3 cars at the junkyard to use for a demo.its a shame for that wagon
