Lincoln Wagon

I did a quick search but didn't see it here. I saw this on another forum but there isn't any info on it. I added it to the gallery.

 

I've seen this wagon first hand. It's was comprsied of several different Lincolns and is sweet!! I believe the owner is in the Phoenix area if I recall right.

I have to correct myself. The wagon apparently is in Indiana. Here's a pic I found. It's a 1956 Lincoln Pioneere station wagon. The owner had it built in 1996 to look as if it had been converted back in 1956.

I also have seen this Lincoln wagon. I went to a station wagon show in the Chicago area, back in '98 or '99, and it was there.

The guy that created it, had this whole history written up as though it was a lost Lincoln dream car. It was just a fun fantasy, and the stunning wagon was really out of this world!

I saw that wagon at Carolina Rod Shop near Greenville SC,when it was being built. It was almost finished at that time (around 97). They did a nice job with it.

I've seen it also! Weird that so many of us have seen this car. It is just TOO, TOO cool!

 

I'm glad too see someone actually takes their cars around the country. The farthest I've ever taken any of mine was Houston to the south or Tulsa to the north. I saw this one at a car club burger Drive-in event during a Barrett-Jackson weekend in Phoenix back in 98-ish.

I have a picture of that wagon as my screen saver on my computer at work! I took several pictures of it at the ASWOA show this past year when it was in the Eastgate/Cincinnati area!

it kinda blows my mind that, with as many caddy wagons that are out there (i know they are still rare but not nonexistent). there aren't any towncar wagons. i mean hasnt anyone ever slapped a town car nose on a colony park?

i saw a mock-up of a 2001 LS wagon and it looked good, but too bmw-esque.

 

I have a pic somewhere of a customized 76-ish Colony Park wagon with a Continental clip grafted on. Even included a pseudo rear tire design on the tail gate. Need to track that down.

The primary reason you don't see them is the Lincoln clip sheet metal did not match the flat sides of the Colony Park. All of the Lincolns had an outward body line along the crest of the sides. The Colony Park did not.

Here is are two pics of a customized '74 Colony Park called a Phaeton. It was being sold locally in Dallas back then. No clue as to how many actually sold. That would be a treat to find one.
