Hi, I am Steve from Oklahoma. I recently acquired a 1988 mercury grand marquis colony park LS station wagon. It has 20000 original miles. My wife and I are team ropers and just not interested in keeping this great car. It needs a home where it will be truly appreciated. I have the original sticker, letters from salesman etc...
nice wagon, by "book" i take it , you mean Kelly blue book?, what kind of shape is she in? even at let"s say $5,000.00, she would need to be in great shape, i would think you'd give more imfo on her , if your trying to sell her, like what size motor, carb, rear end, whats she like underneth, what opshions, and so on,,,,,, good luck in selling her
This car is in really great shape. it was owned by a couple that really babied it. I realize that it won't bring the $7000 but I am hoping to get $5000. We are snowed under right now. I hope to get her detailed and post more info and pics in the next week or so.
Constructive crits, 2 pics does'nt sell a car. If you have origonal window stickers, letters from the dealership, etc, lets see those pics as snowed in should'nt effect that. Just my 2 bits and I don't mean to sound rude but lettres from a dealership don't really mean anything (they are thieves) and " a friend that collects says"..... I won't even go there other than have him sell it then if he knows sooo much! Nice wagon, love those wagons but pics, info, detail, pics, pics sell and no mater what a book says it's only worth what you are offerd for it. Don't get all Barret Jasoned out, it dos'nt seem like you want the car, so if you got it at a good deal and can make a proffit, Take It. Don't get greedy, thats when cars sit and get neglected and are worth less $. I do wish you luck on the sale, but YOU have to sell the car.
Well....the mystery wagon is no longer a mystery to me. I got tired of waiting to see it and reading how nice it is. Good luck.
How rude. We are not greedy. Just know what we have. We have a life other than selling a car. We were just putting what we thought were friendly posts up.
Also, the dealer letters are not an appraisal, they are part of the history and provenance of the vehicle!
Also, what is a lettre and jason barret? Seriously, we won't be posting with this community again. The sarcasm about roping and rude comments that are really inappropriately personal are out of line. You superior car collectors have fun with each other.
