Thanksgiving is one of thoes pointless days we have every year. Yeah ... celebrate the feast with the native indians by the pilgrams, only to slaughter them by the thousands within the next year and take their land from them.

My family came out here this year, uncles and aunts from the Las Vegas area, a few cousins and all. But im really not a little kid person so I ditched the whole family gathering. All my cousins have squeezed out like 4 kids each and its just too much for me.

Sounds like a few lines from Al Pacino's "Scent of a Woman" flick.

I know what you mean about big families and rituals, but our countries were built by and for families, and if we lose that sense of family, we'll lose control of those who think they can run them.

    Peg,
Good Luck!!! With the knee thing...I messed up the left one about 20 years ago and havn't been the same since. They had to put me out to pasture and havn't worked since(either). Was on crutches for 3 years, no fun...
So, take care of it!!! Don't rush it and be safe !!!
    Bruce
