No Reserve: 1971 Ford LTD Country Squire Wagon 400 for sale on BaT Auctions - ending July 10 (Lot #199,961) | Bring a Trailer You will need some money on the restoration on this one.
Still a couple of days left, only just over $2,000 right now. Not in the condition that you would normally expect to see on B-A-T. If I owned this, I wouldn't have even bothered with B-A-T. Then again, $2,000 so far seems like a pretty good deal for the seller.
The thing that makes me laugh is that I submitted my brown truck TWICE to BAT and they rejected it. Basically turned their noses up when they looked at it. And then I see stuff like this on there. Really makes it hard for me to take BAT seriously to be honest.
It's clear that they realized there were only so many rich guys to buy and sell cars at ridiculous prices and needed a new more sustainable revenue stream.
Jeremiah - resubmit the brown Ford as a 'Genuine One-Family Owner Farm Truck' in ORIGINAL condition. They'll bite.....
Don't forget to include how many years you've owned it!! Also, you can take one of any of their previous options and just edit in your specific make/model information so they don't even have to generate the ad copy since they all sound the same anyway.
Thanks for the input fellows, but I sold Brownie locally more than a year ago, so it's water under the bridge. I just think it's humorous. They wouldn't take this: but they took this: Their email to me (both times I submitted the truck) said: "our curation team tends to favor fewer dents on the exterior when considering submissions of F-250's. Unfortunately, our current volume means we are often faced with the difficult decision of turning down good cars from motivated sellers like yourself." I suppose F-250's are different than Country Squires.
See, based on the picture above, if you had put masking tape all over the passenger seat, they would have accepted your truck. Course you may have only gotten $3,350 for it, too.
