Cool wagon IMO. The duct tape on the passenger side of the dash doesn't do the wagon any favors. Beleve Mopar dashboards were still painted steel in 63 but the radio speaker grills were cheap plastic. Seller says car has 383 4 barrel which is no slouch. People go ga ga over the 440s and hemis for good reason but the 383 went into a ton of RoadRunners in the late 60s.
I think the winning buyer had 'auction fever' on this one. He's liable to be a bit disappointed when it arrives.
Always seems to be either a 63 or a 65. Never a 64. I do like this one though. The fact that it sold for $12k is astonishing to me.
Oh Dear. Still think this is a cool wagon, but never, ever, dreamed somebody would part with $12,000 for it.
I’m so glad I had been buying wagons for the last 30 years. I could not imagine trying to buy a decent wagon for reasonable money. I thought these had somewhat cooled, but here you are. Think Krash is spot on that there was a bidding frenzy, and he may have some remorse when it rolls off the trailer.
