I had a coworker that bought one when he was in the service in CA, he hated driving it so much he left it for a weekend open with the keys in the ignition parked near the train station in LA, he wasn't that surprised when it was still where he left it 3 days before.
My wife had a 88 Topaz when we got married, it remains the worst car that has ever been in my garage. I was actually happy when she wrecked it. No good memories of it at all.

I can't be the only person who thinks this is probably close to what the sticker was for it when new.

So of course curiosity killed the cat...

    From Wikipedia:
the range topping 1994 Tempo LX sedan with V6 cost about $12,900

$8,500 is what it was sitting on the Ford dealers lot in 1997 when Grandma died and the kids sold it to him for $5,500.
