42-Years-Owned 1977 Pontiac LeMans Can Am for sale on BaT Auctions - ending December 22 (Lot #94,097) | Bring a Trailer
I dunno, "all this work's been done to it!" in 1985 kind of amuses me. It does look to be a nice example, probably be hard pressed to find a nicer one for less money. The intake and carb changes are a bummer but easily corrected.
Restating some of the facts in the ad, which leaves me confused. - Vehicle (and apparently the owner) is in Ohio - Current owner has owned it for the last 44,000 miles - Car is titled in California, in the seller's name. I guess this COULD mean the seller recently moved to Ohio from California, and hasn't registered the car there yet. Or, it's been in Ohio for a long time without being legally registered.

The tag from California is a custom blue plate which they stopped giving out in the 1986-1987 timeframe. The date tag for it is from *2002* which indicates the car has *not* been registered in California since then. If the car has a title from California, it likely is an actual green one or a legit pink from well back in the day. If so then it proves that either this guy moved to Ohio recently and never bothered to register his car that's non-op'd in California (because it hasn't been driven much at all\show\garage car. If it's a modern blue one he's likely a flipper who obtained it super-recently and is either a) neglecting to tell us or b) lying. I always side-eye cars that have open titles because there's only 2 reasons to do that: laziness or tax fraud. And if anyone botches the titling process on an open title the buyer is hosed.
I don't personally care about it either (besides my own internal judgments), but my issue is always how screwed you are if something goes wrong with the paperwork. No going back to the previous owner\seller for fixing that.
I think I would have taken the #31,100.00 it was bid to. Nice car but it is modified, and no mention of where it was originally sold. It is not an original CA car as it would have the Olds 403 V8 if it was. I owned a rust bucket sun faded example in the early 1980's that I eventually parted out. The rear spoiler sold for more than I paid for the car.
