1957 Ford Del Rio wagon..... finished!!!!

Finally finished my Del Rio wagon, been a long hard road to get here, but it turned out pretty nice!!!!!

 

Wow, gorgeous. It's stunning. Congratulations. That's a project I would have been terrified of undertaking.

 

That is gorgeous. I personally would've done dark blue rather than black, but hey, she's yours, you go enjoy it!

The front floor/cowl was swiss cheese, I found a rust free 4-door and used the floor and cowl from it, saved a ton of time AND money

 

90 crownvic 5.0, EFI, AOD, 77 LTD II spindles, 85 cavalier R&P, 63 galaxie console, 55 t-bird outer door handles, frenched headlights, 56 ford customline ranchwagon side stainless trim, reversed hood opening, cut-down steering wheel, and tailgate release handle/fairlane trunk lid emblem assembly

 

After all the rust repair and panel replacement, it went onto a rotisserie, for the bottom surfaces to recieve their coatings. In my first look at the car, it was NEVER going to be a "body-off restoration", but I wanted it to look nice and professional. Did the frame on a rotisserie as well

Awesome job! That '62-'63 Galaxie 500XL console fits like a glove between those Mustang buckets. Looks like it was meant to be in there!

 

Man, that is awesome. I love to see stuff like this. A car that many would have passed on gets brought back to life. It looks awesome. Congratulations man.
