Am a Pontiac guy but must admit I love a nice Colony Park. https://fortmyers.craigslist.org/lee/cto/d/port-charlotte-wagon-mercury-colony/7529601979.html
Well that explains the $950 of the price, it has a full tank of fuel. Lol. It’s strange that no interior shots to speak of, but it looks like a GS trim level car which by the late ‘80’s early ‘90s you mostly see the LS trim on these. It is a pretty car.
Marshall - I am wondering(and I guess I can ask Mercman Bill too) what is the difference on those years (88-91) vis-a-vis a GS or LS? I admit as a Mercury guy there doesn't seem to be much difference. They are all nicely equipped. Now I know in the later years(2000 and up) a GS has standard AC and cloth vs. the LS which has auto temp, leather in the butt and back surfaces and a digital/analog cluster.
We’ll mainly the difference from ‘89 to ‘90 was the dash, and interior seat patterns. In ‘91 the only change I can see is in the turbine wheels. There is also a slight change in the grill pattern, but you gotta squint. The turbine wheels for ‘91 was a slightly different sheen and pattern. It’s funny the ‘90 also had a shorter run. I have a ‘90, and a ‘91 both built in April of ‘90. The GS in the earlier ‘82 to ‘87 was the seats and door panels. I think by ‘88-‘91 the GS had the same seat pattern as the ‘81-‘87 LS, minus the rear seat center arm rest. The LS/GS door pattern was pretty much on all Mercurys from ‘88-‘91. I think that about covers it. Lol
